After high school, Edie married and lived in South Bend, Indiana for a brief time before moving in 1964 when her husband's work transferred him to San Diego, California. After a couple of years, Edie, her son, and husband moved to Fullerton, California where they purchased a home.
Several years later, after divorcing, Edie eventually began to work in the Southern California real estate market earning her real estate broker's license and various contractor's certifications such as required for seismic retrofit and tenant improvements. She worked in commercial real estate for several firms before starting a successful free-lance business specializing in refurbishment and leasing of commercial mid-to-high rise office buildings.
In her business, she met many notable people with whom she still maintains close friendships. In conjunction with her work, she travelled extensively throughout San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura counties leasing and coordinating numerous projects for her clients.
Edie retired in 2006 and now resides in Newport Beach, California. She maintains a second residence in the neighboring city of Costa Mesa, California.
Edie hopes to be able to attend this 50th class reunion, but due to the injuries sustained in a severe auto accident has recently undergone two hip surgeries, and is preparing for back surgery later this year. In the event her medical care prevents her attendance, Edie wants to express "Love and Best Wishes" to all her fellow Maroons and their families.
